Responsibilities: Managing the editorial side of The Belton Journal, the oldest continuously published weekly newspaper in Texas, including, but not limited to:

•      Collaboration, design, layout of newspaper and specials using Adobe InDesign.

•      First place award in Blue Moon Contest for Belton Journal's Sesquicentennial Edition. 

•      Fourth Place in Overall Page Design

•      Attending regular city meetings

•       Writing 5-10 articles per week

•       Supervising the sports editor, two freelance writers, and two interns per semester

•       Maintain and cultivate relationships with primary entities including City of Belton, Belton Independent School District, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, the chamber of commerce, as well as local entrepreneurs.

•      Maintaining the business social media networks: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
